Fire Warden Training Approx ½ Day
This course is offered to enable employees to fulfil their obligations under the new Fire Safety Legislation. Aimed at employees who in the event of a fire would be given a supervisory role.
Fire Wardens will gain knowledge of:
- A summary of Fire Legislation
- Fire Safety Management
- Principles of combustion and spread of fire
- Recognize main fire hazards in the workplace
- Actions in the event of fire
- Emergency evacuation procedures
- Identify and choose appropriate fire extinguisher (practical use if requested)
- Fire Safety signs
- The Fire Warden's role and responsibilities
Portable Fire Extinguisher Training Approx 2 hours
This course gives delegates confidence in selecting and using portable fire exinguishers in an emergency.
Delegates will gain knowledge of:
- Basic principles of combustion
- Different classes of fire
- Identify and choose appropriate fire extinguisher
- Location of equipment
- Practical use
Fire Awareness Training Approx 2½ hours
This course is for all employees who need to be given basic training to enable employers to fulfil their obligations under the new Fire Safety Legislation.
